Customs Successfully Delivers Exports from Palu and Ambon.

Continuously providing export assistance to potential entrepreneurs, Customs once again delivers domestic products to the export market. This time, exports were successfully carried out by two companies, namely PT MMR Gemilang Indonesia in Palu and PT Subur Anugerah Indonesia in Ambon.

In supporting exports and in line with the spirit of easier service, Customs plays a role in accompanying domestic business players to expand into the export market. Various programs are carried out, such as export clinics, visits, assistance, and of course, export service facilitation. “This is our commitment to ignite the spirit of exports in society. Indonesia is full of positive potential, and this needs to be optimized,” said Encep Dudi Ginanjar, Head of the Subdirectorate of Public Relations and Outreach for Custom.

In Palu, Customs successfully released the first export of 10,000 MT of Palm Kernel Shell commodities from Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi, owned by PT MMR Gemilang Indonesia. This export was carried out on Friday, October 6, 2023, with the destination of Kushiro, Japan. Not only Customs and Excise, the inaugural export release was also attended by several relevant parties, such as Quarantine and the local KSOP.

Encep stated that the success of the first export of palm kernel shell commodities is the result of the Customs export clinic program. “Custom, through the export clinic, continues to encourage and provide export assistance to companies or business players with the potential to export. We hope this can encourage other business players to dare to export.”

Next in Ambon, after its first export this year, PT Subur Anugerah Indonesia (SAI) finally conducted another export of nutmeg commodities to China on Sunday, October 8, 2023. In this export, PT SAI sent 267 bags or 16,020 kg of nutmeg valued at Rp675,031,536. Shipped from Yos Sudarso Port Ambon, these goods will later be restuffed into containers for export when they reach Tanjung Perak Port.

“We, through Customs and Excise Ambon, are committed to providing excellent service in the field of exports, with the hope of encouraging the emergence of new exporters and maintaining the continuity of exports from Maluku,” concluded Encep.
